His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued Decree No. (13) of 2024 to introduce a unified digital platform. The unified digital platform integrates various licensing processes, bringing together the efforts of multiple entities including the Department of Economy and Tourism, authorities of special development zones, free zones such as the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and other relevant entities. This integration not only simplifies procedures but also fosters electronic collaboration among key stakeholders, thereby reducing duplication and promoting efficiency.
Applicable to all economic activities within Dubai, the decree underscores the Dubai’s commitment to enhancing clarity and simplicity in the business environment. By regulating the issuance of licenses and permits, the aim is to remove obstacles that investors may face when setting up or operating businesses in the Emirate.
