ADGM Revises Licensing Fees for Financial and Non-Financial Licenses
Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the international financial center of Abu Dhabi, has announced a revision of licensing fees for financial and non-financial entities operating within its jurisdiction. This update comes as part of ADGM’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations and accommodate the recent expansion to Al Reem Island.
Transition to Al Reem Island
The transition to Al Reem Island, initiated last year, is set to be completed by December 31, 2024. To facilitate this move, ADGM has introduced new fee structures that will be effective across its entire jurisdiction, encompassing both Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands. The revised fees will come into effect on January 1, 2025, aligning with the end of the current transitional period.
Revised Fee Schedule
ADGM’s revised fee schedule includes notable adjustments aimed at various business categories:
In the non-financial category, new registrations will see fees reduced from $10,000 to $5,000, while annual license renewals will decrease from $8,000 to $5,000. For the retail category, new registration fees will be significantly reduced from $6,000 to $2,000, and annual license renewals will be halved from $4,000 to $2,000.
In the financial category, new registration fees will increase from $15,000 to $20,000, with annual license renewals rising from $13,000 to $15,000. For tech and fintech startups, both new registration and renewal fees will adjust from $1,000 to $1,500.
The fees for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) will remain unchanged at $1,900.
The comprehensive fee schedule for both new business registrations and annual license renewals, effective from January 1, 2025, will be published in December.
These adjustments reflect ADGM’s commitment to creating a supportive and competitive environment for businesses operating within its jurisdiction, ensuring a smooth transition and continued growth for all entities involved.
